Radisson Seven Seas Navigator--Setting Sail from Norfolk
We
recently returned from our first experience with
Radisson Seven Seas Cruises (aboard the
Seven Seas Navigator) and came away quite impressed with the ship, the staff,
the service, and the dining. We were on assignment for
Cruise Critic,
Passport Newsletter, and
several other publications.
The cruise left out of Norfolk and the up-and-coming Norfolk port, which now welcomes Radisson Seven Seas Cruises, Holland America Line, Celebrity Cruises, and Carnival Cruise Lines. There are also plans for a new cruise ship terminal, which will mean even more cruising opportunities out of this interesting city.
Highlights
in Norfolk include: Nauticus, the
incredible National Maritime Center which is right at the port;
MacArthur Center (upscale shopping);
the Chrysler Museum;
Waterside Festival
Marketplace (dining, bars, and shopping); and great restaurants like
Todd Jurichs Bistro and Sterlings. Accommodations options like
the Radisson Hotel Norfolk
offer great deals (including a AAA Cruise and Park Package) to
cruise ship passengers.
After departing Norfolk, this particular itinerary called on Philadelphia (another great domestic port--please see our Just Back coverage), New York, and Bermuda . The normal schedule for this ship runs between New York, Bermuda, and Norfolk.
