SEABOURN SOJOURN: HOLIDAYS ON THE HIGH SEAS

Seabourn’s mission statement on their website reads: At Seabourn, we are passionate about travel. We believe that traveling for pleasure has a redemptive power that enriches people’s lives. And we believe that people should travel well.

And we’re here to say that they are accomplishing their mission statement wholeheartedly and taking luxury cruising to a new level.

On a recent sailing on the Seabourn Sojourn from Ft. Lauderdale to Los Angeles over the Christmas and New Year’s holiday, Seabourn’s ideas of traveling well meant: a veranda suite (90% of all suites aboard the Sojourn have verandas); 400 new friends to share the holidays with (a perfect sized ship in light of today’s mega-liners); five exquisite dining options (including a spectacular five-course small plate tasting menu in their specialty restaurant and course-by-course In Suite service….all at your preferred time); a luxurious spa; water and sports activities onboard and in ports; educational and interesting enrichment lectures; amazing in-room amenities including a complimentary (and replenished) fully-stocked bar and refrigerator of our favorite beverages, ship-wide wi-fi, marble and granite bathrooms featuring separate showers and tubs, and the most extensive interactive television, DVD, and music system we’ve seen on the high seas.

Combine these with festive Christmas and New Year’s celebrations at sea and an itinerary filled with exotic ports in Colombia, Costa Rica, and Mexico, not to mention the splendor and fascination of the Panama Canal, and it was a truly luxurious cruise that did indeed enrich our lives.
