Legendary Bahamas getaway has great new golf and more

The Ocean Club, a long-time favorite Bahamas resort on Paradise Island, recently unveiled its new oceanfront golf course. Part of a $100 million renovation by Sun International (owner famed neighbor resort, Atlantis), the oceanfront Ocean Club Golf Course was designed by Tom Weiskopf.

The complete story

Set on the eastern end of the island, Weiskopf’s layout take advantage of the Atlantic Ocean and Nassau Harbour, with the magnificent Bahamian landscape and island cross winds challenging visiting golfers at every turn. The course offers panoramic views of land and water, including the 17th that plays along scenic Snorkelers Cove.

“I feel the Ocean Club is a perfect location for my first Bahamian project,” says Weiskopf. “The classic design of the resort, coupled with the spirit of Paradise Island, creates an ideal backdrop for a golf course that I feel will be memorable, dramatic, and present a fair challenge to all levels of golfers.”

The $100 million expansion and rebirth of the Ocean Club (including a new spa later this year), coupled with the phenomenal success of Atlantis and the opening of the new golf course, makes it a perfect time to make plans for a Paradise Island Bahamian golf getaway.
