New Savannah spa also features great golf

The new Greenbrier Spa at Savannah Harbor recently opened at The Westin Savannah Harbor Resort, making for a great a great spa and golf getaway combination for both golfers and non-golfers.

The resort itself opened just late last year, including the Robert Cupp- and Sam Snead-designed Club at Savannah Harbor.

The complete story

Located on Hutchinson Island overlooking the Savannah River and the city’s historic district, the 403-room Westin offers a great combination of spa and resort amenities, the Troon Golf experience, and everything that has made Savannah one of America’s top destinations.

The Club is managed by respected Troon Golf , known for providing an upscale golf experience at more than 30 golf courses in the U.S., Mexico, and Scotland. The first nine holes gradually move into the surrounding wetlands, while the back nine weave through tidal marshland and views of the city. Troon also runs the popular Troon Golf Institute at the Club.

The elegant Clubhouse includes a pro shop, an exercise facility, and the new Greenbrier Spa at Savannah Harbor. The spa is the first Greenbrier facility outside White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, where they’ve been providing treatments since 1780. The new Greenbrier Spa is modeled closely after the original and offers the same facilities and treatments for which the original is world-renowned.

The 403-room Westin Savannah Harbor Resort is the ideal Savannah base (downtown is just across a bridge or by way of a two-minute water shuttle). Along with golf and the spa, amenities include the Marina, varied dining, and a covered walkway to the Savannah International Harbor Resort.
