Virginia golf school just for women adds second session

Virginia’s Boar’s Head Inn was so successful with last year’s first Golf School for Women that they added a second session for this summer’s offerings.

The complete story

Excellent learning (and travel) opportunity for ladies on the links

The 2nd Annual Golf School for Women will again welcome LPGA Hall of Famer Sandra Haynie and LPGA Touring Pro Jackie Bertsch. Thanks to the success and demand of last year’s single sold-out session, two sessions will be offered: June 4-7 and June 7-10.

Set against the rolling Blue Ridge Mountains, The Boar’s Head Inn is a complete resort that offers participants professional instruction and play on one of the ten top college courses in the nation, as well as luxurious accommodations, AAA Four-Diamond dining, 20 tennis courts, and spa facilities.

Beginners and experienced players alike will learn golf theory, swing basics, practice techniques, and on-course strategy in small groups, providing maximum coaching from Haynie and Bertsch. Meals provide even further opportunity for interaction, with frequent discussions about touring on the LPGA circuit and a chance to make new friends and network with other female players.

The package includes small classes and LPGA professional coaching, three nights accommodations, a welcome reception, daily continental breakfast, two lunches, two dinners, a Boar’s Head Inn logo golf shirt, gift bag, taxes, and gratuities. The cost is $1,090 per person for single occupancy and $860 per person for double occupancy. A special day-rate for locals or those choosing to stay elsewhere is available at $615 (not including accommodations).
