Weatherwise....
WEATHER WEAR
When it comes to getting
dressed, many weather watchers tune into The Weather Channel to see what
they should be pulling out of the closet: severe weather can require serious
clothing.
So it comes as no surprise that the network station has teamed up with retailer L.L. Bean to produce a line of outdoor wear. Soon, Weather Channel watchers can wear what their favorite broadcasters are wearing on the screen.
As part of the new partnership, L.L. Bean will become the official outfitter for The Weather Channel. The networks Severe Weather Team, which is assigned to cover some of the nations worst and most extreme weather situations, will be wearing weather-tested L.L. Bean outerwear while in the field, which could include Stowaway Rainwear Pants or Storm Chaser Shoes.
L.L. Bean is all about living your best life in the outdoors and so is The Weather Channel, says Wonya Lucas, executive vice president of marketing for The Weather Channel. "This partnership will allow us to extend our brand reach to millions of new consumers while synergizing our content to bring weather to life.
Emulating the famous gets easier by the day.
