New San Antonio layout from Arnold Palmer

March brings the opening of a new San Antonio public layout, thanks to golf great Arnold Palmer. It’s located at the Westin La Cantera Resort, but it’s open to all.

Carefully crafted into the natural landscape and replete with rock outcroppings, rolling hills, native vegetation, and majestic views, The Palmer Course at La Cantera is a year-round South Texas golf gem. The layout’s signature hole, it’s 4th, requires a long carry of a lake, with dramatic waterfalls on the right and entire front of the green.

With a spectacular view of Texas Hill Country and the San Antonio skyline, The Westin La Cantera Resort is adjacent to Six Flags theme park and a short drive from Sea World, the River Walk and the Alamo.

The rolling terrain of the region lured Palmer and many other golf course architects. There are now more than 40 golf courses in the San Antonio area.
