Ski, go fly-fishing, and play golf on the same day in Oregon

April brings the unusual opportunity to ski in the morning, play golf in the afternoon, and finish with an evening of fly-fishing. This ultimate outdoor adventure day is being made possible by Sunriver Resort, in Sunriver, Oregon.

The complete story

This single day (Saturday, April 28th) of outdoor recreation begins with a morning of downhill skiing (for any level) at Mount Bachelor, a world-class mountain resort with 70 runs and stunning scenery. Next, it’s 18 holes of golf at a Crosswater, a layout designed by John Fought and Bob Cupp. From 5:30pm to nightfall, lucky adventurers will go fly-fishing on the Fall River, a beautiful spring creek that’s rated one of the best fly-fishing spots in the northwest.

“There aren’t too many places in the world where you can enjoy such high-quality skiing, golf, and fly-fishing, all within a few miles of each other,” says Brad Myrick, director of golf and club manager at Crosswater (and the guide for the day). “We’ll be going strong from dawn to dusk.”

Located in Central Oregon, Sunriver has 54 holes of championship golf, 28 tennis courts, 35 miles of paved bike paths, three swimming complexes, horseback riding, an indoor racquet club, canoeing, whitewater rafting, a shipping village, nature center, and family and children’s activities during the summer months.
