Legends On The Niagara brings 45 holes to Canadian destination

Located in Niagara Falls in Ontario, Canada, Legends On The Niagara will be the name of the new 45-hole destination golf facility opening this May along the Niagara River Parkway.

The facility will feature two 18-hole championship courses, a nine-hole layout, a 360-degree circular driving range, and an 18-hole putting course.

The complete story....

Developed by the Niagara Parks Commission, the mystique of the mighty Falls and the Niagara River make this a legendary location. The setting is also historic, in that the Battle of Chippawa was fought there during the War of 1812.

The South Course of Legends On The Niagara was designed by Canadian architect Thomas McBroom. Called Ussher’s Creek, a tributary of the Niagara River, the course is influenced by the mighty river on 10 holes.

The North Course was designed by another premier Canadian architect, Doug Carrick. Named Battlefield, the layout is adjacent to the actual battleground, which is being preserved and presented as an historic site.

The nine-hole course was designated Chippawa in appreciation of the people of the nearby Village of Chippawa, while the practice facility is known simply as The Academy. The huge clubhouse features all the modern amenities, providing the finishing touch to an a new and all-encompassing golf destination near a legendary tourist attraction.
